The Face Corset

|link| This is just damn strange. I know women through the ages (and not a few men who played captains and science fiction shows) wore corsets, but this guys is wearing one on his face. Fella, it’s not Halloween!

Outlaw Trumpet of the Lord

|link| Michael seems like a decent enough preacher, but looking at this page I begin to wonder.

The OUTLAW is a WANTED man, sentenced to the death.

The OUTLAW is not a just man, and must pay for his crimes.

The OUTLAW must pay for his sins, and the penalty of sin is DEATH.

The OUTLAW’S iniquities, like the wind, have taken him away.

The OUTLAW is guilty, condemned to be punished forever with everlasting destruction, separated from all,and cast into the lake of fire into a Devil’s hell forever.

From the sounds of it, Gabrielle might be a bit jealous.

The Racist Aunt

|link| The highly imbalanced (literally and figuratively) Racist Aunt redraws a map of America. The South is funny, and part of New England has been wiped off the map! For more information on the Racist Aunt check this, almost better, link.

Repliee Q1

|link| Scientists in Japan have come one step closer to a realistic female sexbot robot. Right now it can only sit but I’m sure in time they’ll figure out how to get it (her?) walking. Looking at the pictures I’m kind of freaked out about how realistic this thing looks.

The Gays of Thunder

|link| This Daily Show clip shows how with all the attention NASCAR has been recieving it is slowing changing from beer swilling, overly patriotic, slightly machismo men to men who might like the NASCAR Dads more than the NASCAR Moms…

Evil on a Budget

|link| This article is subtitled, “or - How to threaten the free world on fifty dollars a day.” This particular issue is about how to decorate your secret lair on the cheap, and reading it almost feels like an episode of Queer Eye for the Evil Guy.

Science Fiction Cliches

|link| Here is a huge list of overused cliches in science fiction. The compiler does seem to like to rag on Star Trek and has icons next to ones where Star Trek was a culprit. I even remember which shows many of them would be! For more fun, start reading the list from the end.

Leonard Maltin’s Picks

|link| Here’s a page from Leonard Maltin’s website where he covers what he’s watching in the theater, on DVD and reading in books. There’s some good stuff here! Hey, Jon E.; when are you and Mr. Maltin going to do a review together? ;)

The Chemical Galaxy

|link| The Chemical Galaxy is a new version of the crufty old Periodic Table of the Elements. Instead of a grid we have curves and can see the relationship of various elements better. I rather like it. You can read more at the (apparent) official website or wikipedia’s entry.
