Anime on Demand

It was announce a couple days ago that Cartoon Network and VIZ Media (disclaimer: I work for VIZ) will be doing a joint venture to broadcast full episodes, for free, of certain anime titles on the web. Titles will include Naruto, Samurai Jack, Hikaru No Go, MÄR and The Prince of Tennis. The venture will be called Toonami Jetstream and will premier July 17th. Excellent!

These will be dubbed episodes. There’s no need to be careful about answering because from the legal standpoint there’s only one answer. That being said I’m sure you know how to get what you want/need so I don’t have to mention it…

Indeed. Also, I did not know there was a legal standpoint on the issue. Interesting.

[...] Today is the launching of Toonami Jetstream, an anime on demand website featuring such shows at Naruto, Mär, and Prince of Tennis. We previously mentioned this and can’t wait to watch some of these shows on my time instead of the network’s time. Woot! Now if they’d only make it so people not using Internet Exploder could use the bloody site… (disclosure: I work for VIZ Media, a partner in Toonami Jetstream). [...]
