Yes, Stargate SG-1 will not be renewed for an eleventh season…but now, in addition to “ECW”, viewers will also be treated to some other wrestling dreck called “Raw”. Oh, yea.
Morons. There’s scarcely enough science fiction-related content on SciFi to merit paying for cable as it is.

I think that whole ECW flap is an internet hoax. Somebody released a faux press release on prweb the other day that caused quite the short lived kerfuffle. I think it’s going to be kept a fairly infrequent thing. If you go to their website and search the schedule for ECW, there’s 10 instances between now and the end of October, all on Tuesday night, all at 10. Hardly a takeover, but still stupid, since if we wanted wrestling we could watch Spike.
But Sg-1’s been kind of shark-jumped for some time now imho, ever since it became FarStarScapeGate, if not before. Best to let it end.

You don’t like the current plot line? I kind of like it. However, I am curious how they would follow it up. Of course I was curious how they would carry on after the little parasites were defeated, too.
They’ll still have Atlantis going on, if they do cancel SG-1. Plus it’ll free up a slot to try something new, and hopefully it will be quite good.
Kill the wrestling! What a lame thing for them to try/do!

I was initially disappointed with the cast changes, etc., but just last night I was thinking about how the “new” SG-1 had really grown on me. Personally, I think the chick from Farscape is hilarious. Oh well.
