The Fascist Ideology of Star Trek

As much as I love Star Trek, it’s hard to argue that without money or religion, but with a huge focus on the military and family (for those crewmen who bothered to have family). Combine that with a Federation idealism that borders on fanaticism and you have a recipe for fascism. It’s an interesting read that will not make many Star Trek fans very happy.

    And there we have the Theory of Relativity at play, as I’m sure the Bush administration would be happy to point out to you!

    That being said, I’ve always felt I should be the ruler of this planet. Things would go so much smoother…
