Best Toys

OK, it’s not as good as the “best toys,” but here’s a link to the National Toy Hall of Fame. No Big Wheel, no Whiffle Ball, in the words of Peter Boyle (RIP), “holy crap.” I’m also a bit miffed that the plastic bag and Bag’o'glass aren’t on this list, but then again, neither is the Nerf Ball.

Is a board game really a “toy?”

Apparently there is no time limit on how long an item can or can’t be up for nomination (as stated here). What a pile of crap. The “curator,” “spokesman,” (whatever), said he’s confident some of the classics (named above, also mention Matchbox Cars) will eventually make it … what kind of Hall of Fame is this? It will eventually make it? How does that work? Whatever.

Stupid Hall of Fame.
