Top Five Epics

What are your top five epic movies of all time? Will you go old school … Ben Hur? Religious … Ten Commandments? More recent … Troy?

    I’m going to assume that by “epic” you mean movies that are so large in scope that they are more like novels. So with that in mind here we go:

    1: Lord of the Rings (which should really be considered one long movie instead of three movies)
    2: Lawrence of Arabia
    3: Citizen Kane
    4: Star Wars (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi; see Lord of the Rings above)
    5: Doctor Zhivago

    Having never seen Spartacus I’ll just throw in the more modern Gladiator.
