People keep trying them, and Apple's got a pretty decent implementation via iChat (and is clearly trying to get them mainstream by installing a webcam in every iMac and laptop) but no one uses them. I even bought a camera to try and use, and you know what? Everyone has theirs turned off. 

You know why? 

'Cause the last thing I want to do is see your stupid face when I talk to you. That way you'd know exactly what I was doing when you yap on about your boring life and I didn't care! And I don't want to get ready to answer the phone, be properly dressed, my hair (well, scalp in my case) neatly arranged, and all that crap! I just want to mumble hello when you wake me at noon, and then lie about not being asleep.</description>
