Based upon Shepard Fairey’s famous red, white and blue Obama poster, Paste Magazine has put together a site where you can upload pictures and turn them into similar Obomicons. Stupidly addictive. Today for a few hours we had an outage. Our hosting provider, 1121.org, had their first issues with their server since I started with them. They were great and restored from their latest backup. Unfortunately the latest backup was a few days old. I’ve restored the posts but one comment was lost. Sorry BC Cakes! You’ll have to make another “Dark Vader?” gaff. :)

Apparently our new President won’t take no for an answer, at least as far as his Blackberry goes. He wants to keep it, and it looks like he just might get to do that. Wanna see what he’s getting?
Who knew that the humble ShamWow is really the spearhead of a campaign to fight the Church of Scientology? Apparently Vince Offer (the salesman) is a former Scientologist who made a movie they didn’t like, so they destroyed his career, cut him off from friends and family, and basically smeared him into poverty. Now he’s waging a one man war against the church with all the proceeds he makes selling things while wearing a headset.
bOING bOING got old a long time ago when I discovered they were posting things sometimes long after they were relevant. I still read the site but usually don’t bother to link to stuff they have (often because we already have). Today, though, they linked to two awesome videos that I just have to share (no, I hadn’t seen them before, which is why I’m linking them now).
If you want an adrenaline rush, try jumping off a cliff and flying like a squirrel. And once you’re done with that enjoy the awesomeness that is Star Wars as told by someone who really doesn’t know the story. That had me laughing…
