Galileoscope

To mark 2009 as The International Year of Astronomy, you should get a Galileoscope. A replica of Galileo’s, but made of plastic, with somewhat better optics. Best of all, it’s only $15 – pretty affordable! But you need to move quickly if you want to get one. More orders need to come in to keep the project going!

And it’s designed to function in light-polluted areas, you should be able to see the rings of Saturn in most places.
