Werner Herzog Reads Children’s Stories

While not the real Werner Herzog, these interpretations of Curious George and Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel (incidentally one of my favorite stories!) are simply amazing.

Not sure that there’s much else to say about this.

Tiger Blows It!

Normally I could give a rat’s ass about celebrity frack ups and affairs, but this video parody of Tiger Woods is pretty funny. Semi-NSFW. Via Slashdot Idle.

Symphony of Science

Thanks to Mr. Call, who pointed out that the folks that brought us A Glorious Dawn, featuring Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkings singing, have a few other songs available in video and audio formats at Symphony of Science. I have to admit, I really like this stuff…

A Glorious Dawn

In this tribute to Carl Sagan called A Glorious Dawn, his voice was synthed into singing. I thought this was going to be pure cheese, but it’s so freaking good I went and downloaded the song.

Obomicon

OK, at first I thought this was just too silly to post, but once I started playing around with it I couldn’t resist. Based upon Shepard Fairey’s famous red, white and blue Obama poster, Paste Magazine has put together a site where you can upload pictures and turn them into similar Obomicons. Stupidly addictive. Have fun!

Buy Stuff on TV, Fight Tom Cruise

Who knew that the humble ShamWow is really the spearhead of a campaign to fight the Church of Scientology? Apparently Vince Offer (the salesman) is a former Scientologist who made a movie they didn’t like, so they destroyed his career, cut him off from friends and family, and basically smeared him into poverty. Now he’s waging a one man war against the church with all the proceeds he makes selling things while wearing a headset.

Xenu is pleased.
