I’m not sure what ticket they would run under, and I doubt I would vote for them, but it looks like Battlestar Galactica’s Saul Tigh and Laura Roslin are running for President. I love Tigh’s comments on Energy Policy… “Gods dammit, cut back or you won’t have any energy at all! The Cylons will have it all!”
Of course it’s no wonder people are hoping they will run given how they feel about the current candidates. Some are already thinking they are running the Republican ticket.

You always knew that certain TV shows influenced their fans to follow in the steps of their show heroes, but little did we know quite how much. Now io9.com has the results of a survey which shows the occupational breakdown of the fans of Star Trek and Doctor Who. While the preponderance of participants aspired to join the many fields of science, they are primarily in the mathematics and computer fields.

As many of you know, last night was the premier of Season Four of Battlestar Galactica. Salon has put up a pretty good primer on what’s happened in the first three seasons. Reading it I was surprised at just how much the show has covered, and how hard it is to summarize the show.
