Site Down! Obviously It’s Back…

I’m sure some of you noticed, but at sometime yesterday and until this afternoon OOKEE.com was down. Our hosting provider had some serious issue (apparently their server crashed!) and they have been bringing it all back online. Unfortunately the latest back up was about a week old, so I spent some time reconstituting the articles and comments that were posted in that time. If you notice something else amiss in the meantime, please leave a comment here (and links if necessary) so I can check them out.

Sorry for the outage!

A Little Layout Revision

Hello Everyone,

I spent a bit of time today fixing a few insundry problems and doing some minor layout changes. Some I’d wanted to do for a long time and some and others, like the horrid image ads that Google was putting up, were “special” requests and should be remedied.

I’ll continue working on things but in the meantime if you notice something not working or have constructive criticism (I’m thinking of you, Mookee!) then please leave a comment!

Q! Social Bookmarking?

You might have noticed a few icons at the bottom of each article. These are links to social bookmarking sites so you can share the content of these pages, should you so wish, with others who use the same services. I’ve included Reddit, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, Technorati and Digg for starters. Are there any other services everyone uses I should add?

China Blocks Us!

I almost see this as a badge of honor. China and it’s national firewall is blocking this site! I used The Great Firewall of China to test. The other OOKEE.com sites aren’t blocked and my own site, douglas.nerad, isn’t blocked at all. They are so weird with their paranoia…

Enjoy the NSFW Video Sex

Normally I wouldn’t pay much attention to the searches people make that bring them to this site. However, for the past several months I’ve noticed two searches seem to bring people over and over.

nsfw video
nsfw sex

Oh the irony. Maybe we should become a different kind of site?

Do you like Hawaiian Punch?

OK, it reminds me of that energy site for kids I came across a while ago. Punchy’s pursuit however, is pretty entertaining … at least for a moment or two. Check it out.

Archived Posts Migrated

Thanks to an excellent post from Jason Clark I’ve finally imported all the posts from the old site to this one. Cool!

Unfortunately many of the articles got mangled in transition so Editors, if you see any, please click the little edit link and fix them! Email me if you have questions on how to find them all quickly…
